Minor Paint Correction

A two stage machine cut and polish is given to eliminate light swirls/scratches, oxidation and dull and hazy paintwork that is damaged over the years by poor wash technique, bad contact and strong chemicals.

The first stage is to remove the defects and light swirls, this is known as the cutting stage. The second stage is to give the paint it's gloss back, polishing the paint to a great shine which will give a perfect base for protection.

The Process:

Wheels cleaned, front face, behind-spokes and inner-rim
Wheel arches flushed/scrubbed, door shuts cleaned
Safe wash system using the two bucket method and pH neutral shampoo/snowfoam
Tar and iron/metallic contaminants treated
Surface contaminants removed with claybar
Vehicle rinsed and dried with plush, ultra soft microfibre drying towels
Blown dry to remove trapped water and eliminate drips
Delicate areas and trim taped-up or removed to aid machine polishing stage
Scratches, oxidation, swirls and blemishes removed (>80% correction) via rotary or DA polishing
Second machine polishing set to restore and refine the paintwork to a high gloss
Vehicle re-washed if necessary to remove dust created from paint correction stage
Blown dry to remove trapped water and eliminate drips
Paintwork wiped over with Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) to remove residues and oils leaving a slick, clean base
Single layer of synthetic paint sealant and/or wax applied
Trim/tyres dressed and protected as necessary including tailpipes
Glass cleaned throughout
